The Holland Bigband

The Holland Bigband was founded in 2002 and has steadily developed into a versatile professional orchestra. The musicians belong to a new generation of talented players in the Netherlands. Many of them lead there own bands and have carved names for themselves as section players and soloists.

In 2007 the first CD 'Happy House' (JSR06004) was successfully presented at the Bimhuis Amsterdam. In 2009 they released there second album 'Holland Bigband Live' (JSR06013) and presented this album with several concerts in the Netherlands and Germany. The current line up is: Loet van der Lee - bandleader and trumpet, Werner Janssen - lead alto, Peter Peuker - alto, Yaniv Nachum - tenor saxophone, Willem Hellbreker - tenorsaxophone, Sebastian Ohm - baritone saxophone, Bastiaan Woltjer - lead trombone, Freek Halsema - trombone, Bart Lust - trombone, Marcel Schot - bass trombone, Erik Veldkamp - lead trumpet, Gerard Kleijn - trumpet, Charles Biggs - trumpet, Kurt Weiss - trumpet, Diederik Ruisch - trumpet, Haye Jellema - drums, Guus bakker - bass, Dirk Balthaus - piano, Jeen Rabs - guitar.
